Our Local Community

Intervening in Instances of Substance Abuse, Domestic Violence, & Others

Clergy United for Community Empowerment provides our intervention services to the members of our community who need them most. We can offer metro cards and reimbursement for travel for any of the services we provide. We will also work around your schedules and needs to meet with you when it is convenient. There are over 100 churches in the Burroughs that are affiliated with us.

Our leader has a doctorate in public service leadership and human services, and a certification in dealing with domestic violence. If you or a loved one is seeking aid for a serious issue, reach out to us in Jamaica, New York.

HIV Intervention

We offer HIV intervention services for people ages 18 and older. In addition to an HIV screening, this service also includes condom distributions, and individual and group sessions. The standard session lasts anywhere between 45-minutes to an hour, but the time can vary depending on each case. The HIV intervention is free with a focus on Queens, but we do work with the five boroughs. We prefer to set up appointments, but we can also accept walk-ins. This service is available on Mondays through Fridays.
We also organize HIV health fairs and awareness days. The health fairs occur six to eight times a year, and we also participate in other health fairs outside of our organization.

STD Intervention

Our organization offers sexually transmitted disease interventions for everyone ages 18 and up. Similar to our HIV interventions, the STD services also include screenings, condom distributions, and individual and group sessions. They also are included in our health and awareness fairs. Sessions for STD interventions last anywhere between 45-minutes to an hour, but can vary depending on individual cases.

Sweet Couple

At the end of the 27-week period, you will receive a certificate of completion that shows you have been authenticated by our agency.
